Something seems odd here, why can you be arrested, "for standing in front of an abortion facility with a sign reading, 'Jesus loves you and your baby, let us help you.'" If I want to protest against a business in the community that I find offensive, such as pornography or abortion, don't I have a right to picket? Is abortion different?
Ahh, Naive. I see you don't live in the Peoples Republic of California or in the most progressive part of the PRC – the bay area. Here they passed a "bubble law" which means you cannot be within a certain distance of someone entering a clinic – even if they approach you (yikes). This one is travesty through and through. Rev. Hoye has been convicted, fined more than $1,000 and sentenced to a month in jail.Things do not bode well.
