Why limit yourself to considering current position A OR potential opportunity B? If you're willing to consider a new opportunity, write a resume and spend a little time looking for a potential position C that combines the best of A AND B (doesn't have as much of a downside to it). You can still choose between A and B for now, but at least you'll have an idea of how good A and B are compared to the current market. Plus, you may need that resume to interview for B, and you'd be one step ahead in case your choice doesn't work well and you decide to look for C or D later.
