Updated Mission Statement

Along with the new look, we are updating other things at Catholic Dads as well. The mission has expanded a bit, and I wanted to share the updated mission that several of us have prayed about and worked on. Catholic Dad is evolving into a site that better serves members and the larger community. The informal mission has not changed, but we do have a more formal mission that spells out what may not be as clear in our informal mission.

Informal Mission Statement

This is a site to help build community among Catholic Dads. Catholic moms rock when it comes to building community. We men…not so good. That is what Catholic Dads is all about. Here we can share stories. Debate the issues of the day. Give advice. Share our faith. You know, guy stuff. So join the fun. Submit your blog and join us.

Formal Mission Statement

The purpose of Catholic Dads is to help Catholic dads live out and witness to their universal vocation as Catholics and their individual vocations as fathers by:

Providing a forum for Catholic Dads to share relevant experiences and insights

Fostering discussion on issues related to Catholicism and/or fatherhood

Identifying information resources about being a Catholic father

Providing a visible presence for Catholic Dads and Catholic Dads members in the larger online community

With this clarified mission, expect Catholic Dads to be more active in promoting you and your blog, the community, and providing an amplified voice to Catholic fathers online.
