The way my wife was convinced was a series of visits to lots of homeschool families and getting involved with them at Mass and other events and the clincher was going to a homeschool camp. Not a Mums and children education focussed camp, but a camp for all the family centred around the faith. We saw homeschooled children from young to old and post homeschooled children. We said to each other, "This is what I want our children to be like." and that was that. Then you just take it one year at a time.
