56 years old, retired sub sailor, now a stay at home dad for my three children. Married to a wonderful woman and enjoying life. Prolife political conservative with no apologies for it. Life isn't a popularity contest and I'm not Miss Congeniality.

Joys of parenting…

“Yep, he sure enough broke it!” That was the War Department about ten minutes ago, updating me on our second son’s condition after she took him to the local ER. The four year old tornado was playing in the “bounce house” we keep in the back yard. His big trick is to stand at the [...]

Okay, we’ve given it the old college try. So can we leave the UN now? The following indicates it’s WAY past time; NEW YORK, August 26, 2009 (LifeSiteNews.com) – A UN agency has issued a report calling for all children in all countries to be taught about sex, “reproductive” and “gender” issues. United Nations Economic, [...]

There are actually several therapists there so the waiting room always has a few parents killing time while their kids are in back having fun. Everyone gets to know a bit about each other. If you want [...]

April 12th, 2009

Last night at the Easter Vigil Mass the better half (aka The War Department) was accepted into the Catholic Church.

Anybody here have any knowledge/experience in homeschooling autistic children? My oldest son (5 yrs.) is evidently not able to adapt to the private school we’ve had him in. He’s already repeating preschool (!) and yesterday we met with a school administrator who told us moving to a larger class for preK next year would be [...]
